I love entertaining. I love throwing parties and serving impressive meals. I also hate being stressed because there is nothing worse than being completely frazzled by the time your guests arrive. For my birthday party this year I decided to keep it simple. I served one dish I'd never made before, one old favorite, and one that could didn't take any prep work. The new dish was deviled quail eggs, which turned out to be pretty easy to make. The old favorite was the stuffed mushroom--tomato, garlic, and onion with a sprinkle of cheese on top. The easy one was chicken that I threw in the oven while my guests were opening their first drinks and pulled out of the oven after the last friend had arrived and stomachs began to growl.
